Hey Jan, thanks so much for the comment, keep the momentum up, keep working the absolute basics on a daily basis, it doesn’t have to be for very long either. You and I and Corinne will get together soon and keep drilling that O brother repertoire, you might as well join in with my Sunday fiddle club with my daughter Genoa, Mikayla and Cate (Raven Primus) as well.

Take your fiddle to a fella named MIKE. He did the repair on Corinne’s grandfather’s fiddle, the one I’m currenly playing, tell him to do his very best at setting it up for a lefty like your self. His phone number is 780 953 9915. Give him a call and arrange for a drop off soon. Turn left off of Fort Rd. at 144 ave.

Yes, get the soundtrack as soon as possible, just remember that the key of the songs on the CD isn’t necessarily the key that we practiced them in.

I just found out there’s a fiddle fest and competition in Athabasca on Sept 4 and 5. I’m going to enter it. I need a waltz, jig and reel.
    I’m going to do:

    Waltz: Log Driver’s Waltz
    Jig: Coq of the North
    Reel: Sherbrooke Reel

This gives me one full month to practice these tunes. Everyday. Slowly.

Who wants to come with me?
